I’d like to thank Tracy and Carlos for giving me the L.A. all day KING PIN award. Throughout the year Jin Joint has been paying for a few kids to skate in the contests as well as providing free product and of course, the 100$ best lines. (almost all of the product behind us was provided by rat-tail)
This was the first L.A. all day event that I have been to at the Santa Monica boys and girls club skate park. It was great to see a park like that be skated to it’s full potential. L.A. local Sean Cowen won the Jin Joint 100 dollar line. A few of the Razors pros were in attendance as well as Rachard Johnson, Jen Kirby, and Justin Eisinger.

Carlos used a Casey McFarland photo for the back cover of the L.A. all day catalogue.
TOMMY BOY!!!
SDSF owner Geoff Acers showed the young guns what was up by making the finals.
Az local Sergio threw a real street contest in Prescott Arizona earlier today. We hit about 5 spots before the winners were announced. Brandon took third.
LA ALL DAY took a trip back to the p-rail and a kicker contest days yesterday at the beach. The cops didn’t show up until the end of the finals for the elite division, so everybody was able to get their tricks in. Wiese took fourth.
After the contest, Tracy took Brandon and me on a tour of Santa Monica.
Jin Joint is a proud sponsor of the l.a. all day events. These events are organized by rollerbladers for rollerbladers. If you live anywhere near where this competition is being held then be sure to go because 2 weeks ago Tracy White who is one of the organizers of the event flew all the way to Superhick from California just to support rollerblading. He even won the old man comp, so forget about the price of gas for one weekend and go to this event!
Jin Joint is putting up another 100 dollars for the best line, so some solid skating might hook you up with a free weekend.
The 2008 Superhick was one of the most exciting contests I’ve been to in a while. There are so many different events that lead up to the pro/am final, that by the time the finals do come around, you feel like you’ve already gotten your money’s worth. There were a ton of solid lines put together throughout the competition, but in the in end, the $100 award had to go to Andrew Jacuzzi. Skatepile deserves a lot of credit for organizing such a great event for so many consecutive years.
Brandon Wiese clips from Superhick are coming soon,as well as other edits, so be sure to check back regularly.
This past Saturday, the AIL tour made a stop at Rye Airfield in Rye New Hampshire. I was happy to be able to make the trip out to the competition and be able to hook up the winners of the younger divisions with some fresh shirts. These kids really are the future of rollerblading and it’s important to keep them juiced about skating. Thanks again to Richie Velasquez for putting on such good events.
Jin Joint is a proud sponsor of the 2008 Superhick rollerblading competition. I will be there as well as both Brandon Wiese and Casey McFarland. We will be putting up $100 cold hard cash for the best line in the Pro/Am competition.
The first AIL event of the year went off in a big way. Tons of skaters showed up from all over the place, and everyone threw down.<(unintended pun but it works so I’m leaving it there) Congratulations to Brandon Wiese for finishing in sixth place in a field of almost 100 competitors. Jin Joint is proud to support any and all kinds of events that support rollerblading the way the AIL does.
