Jin Joint is a proud sponsor of the l.a. all day events. These events are organized by rollerbladers for rollerbladers. If you live anywhere near where this competition is being held then be sure to go because 2 weeks ago Tracy White who is one of the organizers of the event flew all the way to Superhick from California just to support rollerblading. He even won the old man comp, so forget about the price of gas for one weekend and go to this event!
Jin Joint is putting up another 100 dollars for the best line, so some solid skating might hook you up with a free weekend.
The 2008 Superhick was one of the most exciting contests I’ve been to in a while. There are so many different events that lead up to the pro/am final, that by the time the finals do come around, you feel like you’ve already gotten your money’s worth. There were a ton of solid lines put together throughout the competition, but in the in end, the $100 award had to go to Andrew Jacuzzi. Skatepile deserves a lot of credit for organizing such a great event for so many consecutive years.
Brandon Wiese clips from Superhick are coming soon,as well as other edits, so be sure to check back regularly.
This past Saturday, the AIL tour made a stop at Rye Airfield in Rye New Hampshire. I was happy to be able to make the trip out to the competition and be able to hook up the winners of the younger divisions with some fresh shirts. These kids really are the future of rollerblading and it’s important to keep them juiced about skating. Thanks again to Richie Velasquez for putting on such good events.
Jin Joint is a proud sponsor of the 2008 Superhick rollerblading competition. I will be there as well as both Brandon Wiese and Casey McFarland. We will be putting up $100 cold hard cash for the best line in the Pro/Am competition.
Be sure to pick up Radius Media’s 3rd issue which has a profile on Jin Joint team rider Casey McFarland. It will be in stores within the next 2 weeks. This video is going to be insane, so you better get in on pre-order!!!
This was hands down the best St. Patty’s day I can remember. After watching Casey Mcfarland absolutely destroy street spots in down town Phoenix, I got a chance to talk to him about being the second team rider for Jin Joint. After about 15 minutes of telling him what it was all about, I handed him a fat stack of shirts. Casey was really pumped to hear that I liked his skating enough to have him represent the company. And with that, Casey had yet another sponsor to add to his list which includes USD and Revolution Skate Shop. Thanks again to James and Gretchen for letting me stay with you while I was in Arizona.
The first AIL event of the year went off in a big way. Tons of skaters showed up from all over the place, and everyone threw down.<(unintended pun but it works so I’m leaving it there) Congratulations to Brandon Wiese for finishing in sixth place in a field of almost 100 competitors. Jin Joint is proud to support any and all kinds of events that support rollerblading the way the AIL does.
Companies work extremely hard putting products out for people to buy. Don’t go to competitions and steal things. Rat-Tail got robbed as well as countless kids skates, my friend Trevor’s included. Another kid tried stealing from Revolution, but luckily, Spira the enforcer was there to prevent the theft. Dirt bags will not be tolerated.
I would like to thank everyone who bought shirts. We sold a lot more than even I expected. Everyone had great attitudes and seemed to be rocking goods from a bunch of different companies. If you are a rollerblader and have never been to a BCSD event, then I strongly suggest that you make it to next years. The whole vibe in the park during the qualifier, tradeshow, and the pro competition was amazing. Support for everyone and everything came from all sorts of directions. Don’t let message boards confuse you. Just skate.
